No plan survives contact with the enemy.

Its been a few days since I posted. Im currently doing training for work out of state and I thought I would have time to write some of the sequel, post in the blog daily and basically not miss a beat. Pro tip, Aerospace is complicated and training is intensive. Its literally rocket science, so you can get what Im saying. Lots of “homework ” and not much sleep, so everything I planned is out the door. I should be back to my regular routine Monday (but im not planning on it) lol

Humpday!!

Happy Humpday everyone! We made it to the top of the hump, it’s all downhill from here! The weekend is in sight and I am feeling motivated to get back to some projects that I ditched last weekend. (I work hard, I deserve to be lazy everyonce in a while. No regrets.)

I am going on a work trip next week to California, and despite it being work-related, it feels like a mini-vacation. I am from Washington State, so going to California in spring is like getting a preview of summer (I have to dig out my summer clothes) But aside from getting some well-needed vitamin D, I will be away from my family for a week. Don’t get me wrong I am not looking to escape them (well not entirely) but I have an opportunity to have some uninterrupted writing time. I tend to do the majority of writing in the mornings on the weekends, since I wake up before anyone else in the house. On a typical workday I get up at 3:30 am, so, for me “sleeping in” is waking up at 5:30 or 6:00 am. Long before the rest of the sleepyheads get up. Thus insuring a few solid hours of quiet time to write. With this trip I get bonus days of solitude. After My work commitments are done I will have all evening to smash the keyboard. I am excited for that.

Monthaversary!

So it has been 1 month since I started this blog. I’m going to give myself Kudos for Sticking with it! I tend to start a lot of projects that I soon abandoned. Short attention span, ADD, get bored with it, all the good excuses to move on to the next thing. But here I am, still trying it. In retrospect, I should have started blogging years ago. I discovered that blogging is actually fun to do, and it has done a couple positive things for me. For one, I am meeting a lot of cool people. I enjoy the community and interactions I am having, reading other blogs, getting improvement tips. Also, It keeps me in a creative mindset. So far …. no haters. Wow.

I started this blog primarily to promote my Book “Emergence Collective” and other writing projects. But it is also turning into its own creative outlet. So a big thank you to everyone who has checked it out, especially those who choose to follow me. Your time is precious, and I sincerely appreciate you spending some of it here.

For those who haven’t been here before or have only read a few of my posts, I suggest you check out some of my earlier posts. May I recommend my Character snapshots of  “Emergence collective.”
